Here is a quick summary on my amazing trip to Belfast

Every year a few friends and I head up to Belfast for the day, typically around Christmas. We go up to the Banbridge outlets stop for food and then go to the Belfast giants game. Its always a day I look forward to even though I don't follow any hockey. The atmosphere is incredible, the game is split up into a few halves of 15 minutes, which are my favourite part. There are plenty of games and prizes to be won at these breaks.
however last year when we got up the game was unfortunately cancelled due to weather conditions. The game was rescheduled to last Saturday, so of course we headed up delighted with ourselves!
We left around two o'clock on the bus. The journey up was about two hours, which felt like for ever. We stopped for a quick bathroom break when we were half way up, a few of us got food but the rest of us wanted to get something in the Banbridge outlets. A little less then hour later we had arrived at the outlets. We walked around for a bit looked in a few shops then went to burger king to grab a quick snack before the game. We were only there for about an hour before we back on the road again ready for the game.
It was about half an hour drive to the arena, we were all so excited to go as the match is always the best part. Finally we reached the SSE Arena. Upon arriving at the entrance we spotted one of those bull riding simulators and had to give it a go, my best time was only 23 seconds where as my friend set the new high score of a minute and 14 seconds. After all our fun riding the bull we headed into our seats and the game began. In the first third the giants were losing by two but came back strong in the second third, unfortunately you can't win every time and the giants lost by one goal. It was a great game with lots of action!
I couldn't recommend this short affordable trip which is a great way to spend time with friends!
